Project Description
Some 400,000 solar panels, spread over 200 hectares of flat desert, glare defiantly at the sun at what is known as the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park (QASP) in Cholistan Desert, Punjab. The remaining 900 MW capacity will be installed by Zonergy under the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Purpose/Application
It is one of the world's largest solar parks. It will contribute towards reducing emissions and providing livelihoods.
Unique Aspect
This is a great place to observe the technicalities involved in a solar power station. Being situated in Bahawalpur, one can get a chance to see some of the most beautiful palaces in the city as well.
