Project Description
The wind energy harnessed at this particular site has high air density, with larger sweep surface and wind speed.
Purpose/Application
The annual equivalent of this production amounts to more than 2.78 million tons of oil (TOE)/year, which prevents emission of more than 20.6 million tons of CO2/year into the atmosphere.
Unique Aspect
It is the 2nd largest onshore wind farm in the world, consisting of over 3000 turbines, which produces around 20% of total wind energy in India.
