The 700-hectare geothermal power complex has 12 generating units, including a binary plant, which are accommodated in separate power stations.

Purpose/Application                                                                                    

The MakBan Geothermal Power Plant is the only indigenous baseload plant in Luzon that has better grid stability and availability

Unique Aspect

Makban Geothermal Power Complex, is the biggest geothermal power facility in the Philippines and fourth biggest in the world. It is the only facility in the Philippines that uses binary type steam recovery system.
