Project Description
The Hanul nuclear power plant is the largest nuclear plant in South Korea with a net capacity of 5 908 MW. It is composed of 6 Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR). Two other reactors are being added.
Purpose and Application
The reactors generate electricity for the Korean consumption. This plant contributes to generate a part from the 27.3% of electricity generated by nuclear energy in South Korea.
Unique Aspect
This nuclear plant is the third largest plant in world and the first nuclear plant in South Korea.
