Project Description
The Pruszków heat and power plant is the oldest plant within the PGNiG Termika business, founded in 1914 in Pruszków. This plant was destroyed during World War II, and operations resumed in 1945 at Waryńskiego Street 1. The power plant consists of 5 steam boilers, 2 water boilers and two turbine sets. The plant's thermal power is 186 MW with combined production of 9.1 MW of electricity.
Purpose/Application
Power plant is nowadays producing energy for the city of Pruszków.
Unique Aspect
It is one of the oldest plants in Poland, originally was constructed in order to power 200 light bulbs in the chemistry and ironworks industry facilities.
