Project Description:

It uses wood-based biofuels (forest residues) as the main fuel, while coal is kept as a reserve fuel. It is equipped with a 500 MWt circulating fluidized bed boiler. It also has a built-in provision for district heating.

Purpose/Application:

It is built for district heating.

Unique Aspect:

It is the largest biomass-fired boiler, of its type, in the world. In addition to this, the overall operation of the plant is kept as sustainable and environment-friendly as possible.
